I clearly need to follow rEDSouthWest. There's a conference happening in my own city, everyone's there, and I didn't even know about it 😲
💻 County lines ✍️ 💻
Do I know any academics who conduct research or write on grooming children for county lines?
If so, and you’d like to contribute a short piece on this topic to my new book, please email me asap with subject heading “County lines”

This was very good from Mr D. Lester, on professionalism, communities and unions via Teachers Talk Radio... podbean.com/ew/pb-7fujc-15…
Do it!! I kept being rejected for PhD programmes when I was in my 20s. Being in my second year of my EdD with Uni of Reading I realise that I wouldn't have been ready for it then. Maturity brings experience.
There’s been some great podcasts this last week or so to tuck into on Teachers Talk Radio, here’s just a few 🎧:
Learning Walkthrus with Tom Sherrington open.spotify.com/episode/0wngSm…
‘Gen Alpha’ with Mr D. Lester open.spotify.com/episode/45haR8…
Authentic Learning with This is School…
Sorry for the technical hitch there at the end of today's Teachers Talk Radio show. Switching broadband providers clearly isn't as smooth as we were promised! But I loved talking about the defining features of Gen Alpha on the show.
What are the traits of generation alpha? Join Mr D. Lester as he discusses now! podbean.com/lsi/TTradio?ls…
I'm delighted to announce that I will be guest editing an edition of NAPE's Primary First journal NAPE Primary First Journal. Official Call for Papers will come soon, but for now please get your thinking caps on for ideas about languages and literacies in primary education. #mfltwitterati
