Ex-footballer who thinks he knows more about the climate than climate scientists, more about pandemics than epidemiologists, and more about vaccines than immunologists draws the line at YouTubers talking about football

Per capita, there are over four times as many Michelin star restaurants in the U.K. as there are in the United States. 43 out of the 50 US states combined have fewer Michelin star restaurants than Nottingham.

I could probably get over signing someone from Hull who pretended to be a Leeds fan if they were fantastic. Signing someone from Hull who pretended to be a Leeds fan and also isn’t very good feels like a bit of a lose-lose. #hcafc

You would do well to find something Britons don’t tend to support banning or locking people up for. I’m pretty sure there was a YouGov poll during COVID where a significant % said they supported just permanently locking everyone inside their homes.

Completely unfair that other teams have had all summer to sign players but Hull City are only allowed to do it today. Sort it out, EFL. #hcafc

Practically impossible to properly assess #HCAFC’s transfer window because there are so many unknowns, and so little Championship experience. Big question marks around the midfield, bloated GK options, and especially a lack of goals. No one you’d be confident about scoring 10+.

Just as an aside, if you over promise and under deliver, I don’t think you can have any complaints when people are disappointed. Personally, I don’t believe a word Acun says, but for those who do, they probably quite reasonably expected a bit more / a striker today. #hcafc

This was a great away day because we knew we were miles better than them, we knew we’d win, and then we did. Today feels like the opposite. I expect them to dominate the midfield and be more clinical in the final third, but hoping to be proven wrong! #hcafc

That was probably our best performance - problem is, it was our first game against a half decent team who took their chances. In isolation, nothing to worry about, but winless in 5 with another tough game up next isn’t ideal. #hcafc

We weren’t that bad today, and there are a lot of overreactions - but whichever way you cut it, if you’d said we’d sack the the manager and fail to win any of our first 5 after we finished 7th last season, you’d assume something had gone badly wrong over the summer. #hcafc

The right should definitely keep arguing as loudly as possible in favour of price gouging sport and concert tickets. I think that is a smart strategy that will prove to be very popular with the public.

It says something about the British royal family and aristocracy that the most extreme punishment imaginable for Prince Andrew is having to live in a Grade II listed cottage which had £2.4m of renovations spent on it in 2019 - and he still said no.
