No woman should be punished for leaving an abusive relationship, yet thousands of women face this reality in family court proceedings every year.

Many well-meaning people would be shocked to learn that cases such as these are not isolated incidents, but quite common around the world. I remember how shocked I was as I started to wrap my head around the sheer level of injustice and danger that many mothers and their

Christina Buttons What has actually gone on has been an extraordinary ideological capture of family courts by male supremacist groups. Who have devised a concept called "parental alienation" to use as a counter-claim to any reporting of abuse. Please read: grantwyeth.com/p/the-best-int…

Sat in the Bar Standards Board tribunal venue, at a directions hearing for a disciplinary against Dr Charlotte Proudman at which she has asked for the hearing of her strike out application to be heard in public. The judge just refused. He has also refused to hear arguments from the media.

A judge in a preliminary hearing for disciplinary proceedings against barrister Dr Charlotte Proudman has refused entry for journalists. The Bar Standards Board has begun proceedings against Dr Proudman for professional misconduct. She has applied for the case to be thrown out.

This be clear, Charlotte Proudman had asked for the strike out hearing to be in public. I understand that it was the regulator, Bar Standards Board, that asked for it to be in private. ⬇️

This is a case of pure misogyny in plain sight and an unacceptable attempt to silence gender equality advocates. This must not be allowed to continue. All my support to our esteemed UK colleague Dr Charlotte Proudman. theguardian.com/uk-news/articl…

Excellent report in Australian media on legal systems abuse in family courts including the deployment of claims of 'parental alienation' as part of the perpetrator's weaponry. And why it is essential that all judges and professionals recognise and understand this. As

It’s such an important point that healthy professionals see themselves as being caught in the abuser’s web of destruction, being used as tools to further terrorise the main target. Everyone is a pawn in the abuser’s nefarious game. Everyone.
