This spoke to me during our session this morning.

Talking to pupils today and had to remind them: The grade you achieve doesn’t define you. However, the work you did through the year speaks volumes for your dedication and resilience. That’s a mark of your character and what you should be really proud of.

It’s SO good to have the young people back!!! Brilliant buzz in the faculty and great conversations with learners! It’s going to be a good year! 👍🏻

Returned to my old school as the acting headteacher, took a music cover class today, and the first book I find is my own from years ago🤣 Feels like I've come full circle, but now with a whole new perspective.

Progress and Achievement on Seemis. Is it possible to delete a rating once it has already been input so as to leave blank for a pupil who has perhaps not been in class? Anyone know?

This highlight of my week is usually teaching my amazing Higher class. The double period today just flew by but the work they have created in just four short weeks is incredible! I love the wee team they are forming and even the mess they make!!!

Took my boys out for tea tonight as I just couldn’t face cooking. We played this while we waited for food to arrive. Who remembers this old school game from before we had mobile phones?! They loved it!!!

I literally cannot believe it’s Friday again. Another incredibly busy week but so many positive interactions with young people and staff. Topped off with a glorious swim straight after school in the sunshine. Happy weekend all.
