Enjoyed the coffee morning organised by the Friends of Quarry Park in Hatfield Library. It’s volunteers like these residents who quietly deliver great things for our communities in the background. Great to catch up with our Stronger Communities Team as well about local issues.

I am immensely proud that the NHS I work in is one of the most multi-ethnic and diverse organisations in the world. NHS colleagues and emergency workers from many countries and faiths work around the clock to serve every UK community. You have my utmost appreciation and respect.

Listening to Paul Gambaccini pay tribute to my friend Steve Wright on Radio 2. Steve would have been 70 today. What a tragedy he died so early. I tried to get him to do an ALL TALK with me, but he never liked talking about himself. A rarity in our industry!
