My child entered 4th gr with beautiful math strategies and fluency.

He is leaving 4th gr conditioned with a bunch of algorithms.

I just watched him solve 40-36 using the standard algorithm. 😩
He could solve that 5 years ago without batting an eye. What's happening?😠

Just like an iceberg, #UDL is more than meets the eye. As an instructional leader, you see the skills & practices, but what about what's hidden beneath the surface? It’s our mindsets that truly stabilize UDL implementation.
