Moderately to completely biased, but Amelia Barber gave a very exciting talk on the emerging Candida parapsilosis problem in Germany at the annual #dmykg24 conference today in #Jena.

A nice review of a very cool system showing a reliance on tRNA modification of wobble uridines in the anticodon to control effector translation during plant infection by M. oryzae. Interested to see how/if this mechanism translates (pun?) to human pathogenic fungi.
