Our new work with Sanford Lab in J Org Chem/Org Lett describes a photochemical Cu-mediated fluorination of aryl iodides using AgF and UVB light (313nm). The presumed radical method has been translated for #radiochemistry using a combination of K18F & AgOTf: pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ac…

Bitter sweet to throw Jay Wright’s leaving party. On one hand, I’m saying bye to an amazing postdoc, now junior faculty (>13 papers, NIBIB K99/R00 grant). On the other I’m thrilled to see him start his independent career as a TT Asst Prof Penn Radiology. Good luck Jay〽️

Our latest work in @BrainComms with Functional Neuroimaging, Cognitive & Mobility Lab Nico Bohnen MD investigates correlation between cholinergic deficits, estimated from VAChT binding measured using FEOBV PET, and dynamic balance and gait deficits in Parkinson’s disease.
