🚲RideLondon-Essex will be taking place this weekend! There will be road closures in place in parts of Essex on Sunday 26 May for the event.

Last week, we were at A130 New Bypass #BowersGifford to replace damaged sections of Chevroflex chevrons on the roundabout.

Chevrons bring attention to bends in the road and are especially useful at night where bends can be unclear.

This Sunday 26 May the Ford RideLondon-Essex event returns to Chelmsford! 🎉

To celebrate, there's a Family Cycling Taster Day with fun, free activities for all ages in Central Park! 🚲

Sometimes the best surface treatment for a road is to seal the joints or cracks. Joint sealing is important to prevent water getting through the cracks and under the surface where it can freeze in winter and break up the surface.

Last week, we carried out 183 pothole repairs, 103 of which were on priority roads and 80 on local roads. This is in addition to the larger-scale resurfacing works which are currently taking place across the county.

From Friday 24 to Sunday 26 May, there will be road closures in London and Essex for the Ford RideLondon Classique and Ford RideLondon-Essex sportives. 🚴

The road closures are in place to ensure the safety of those taking part in these events.

Surface dressing is used where the surface is in reasonably good condition but needs sealing to stop water ingress. We can cover a large area very quickly at relatively low cost.

Due to the weather conditions, the decision has been made to postpone the remedial works planned to take place overnight on 14-15 May at Ealing Bridge located on Sheering Rd #Harlow . The road closure will not be in place as previously advised.
