The idea that Musk is smart persists only because it's so difficult for Americans to admit someone could be so rich while being such an idiot.

It's kind of funny how Lucas Kunce and Eric Greitens drew tons of online attention to this race, then neither one of them won their primary and this receded into a sleepy, boring contest where the result will be pretty much exactly the state's partisan lean.

Pressuring Victor out of the race was a smart move for Masters, but it probably won't do much at this point. Tons of people have already voted, Victor will still be on the ballot, and despite a brief surge in early October, Victor simply wasn't pulling that many votes anyway.

Kathy Hochul is still going to win by more than the majority of Dem governors this year. People are underestimating just how blue New York is.
