Top morning in Black Hill Conservation Park Thursday with bush careers clearing out a patch of stinkwort and the moving up to the best bush to carefully remove olive, Rhamnus and blackberry. There is some huge Erica weeds on a steep slope where volunteers are unable to work.

Warm afternoon in Horsnell Gully today. A quiet few hours with friendly conversation. We worked on blackberry, olive, Rhamnus and broom. Improvement in the quality of habitat is evident just from the few hours we spend working there. A few remaining flowers orange bell creeper

I was surprised by this White-throated Treecreeper 'Cormobates leucophaea' at Morialta Conservation Park today as it foraged only a couple of meters away. ow.ly/G5Zy50IQw9W #citizenscience #aves #inaturalist Friends of Black Hill and Morialta (FOBHM)

The Fourwheeldrive Adventurers joined us today at Ambers Gully in Black Hill Conservation Park. Together we estimate we cleared 1 Ha of Erica. Erica is a highly invasive weed in this area of the park which were displacing native plants and completely changing the ecology.
