If you’re outraged by peaceful protests against genocide but not the genocide itself. Then you’re the problem.

So, I am doing a workshop on Rust. What kind of first-time project do you think you'd like to do in Rust + Python + PyO3? Remember this is for absolute beginners as well.

I guess the CS courses at UC Berkeley don’t ever teach folks about respecting other humans. Efficiency at the cost of all else is dystopia.

Strong disagree on this one. Marques Brownlee provided praise where it was adequate. But, if you release something that doesn’t work as expected, you deserve to be called out.

Germany did not just stop the Rector of the University of Glasgow Dr Ghassan Abu Sitta from entering Germany, to participate in our Palestine Congress, but threatened him with legal action if he dared send his intended speech by video. Question to German friends: In your name?

I think one of the undersold parts about the Rust community is how many highly competent SWEs are. You can learn so much just by interacting with them. Some of these folks have 20+ YOE and they're super humble.

I'm trying to find a good way to explain the borrow checker, and references in . I find myself talking about pointers, but that's a little unfair because many people learning Rust are coming from dynamic languages and so pointers are not familiar. How would you explain them?
