For our second year mapping trip to NW Scotland, we are using elevation data to 3D print field areas! This has been a great teaching tool to help explain how the geology interacts with the topography! Here is the shore of Loch Assent (in 3D print and reality!)

Day 2 of the Betics field trip! David Dobson (@oneminutegeology) took us to the mantle and back! The Ronda peridotite is the largest Alpine-type peridotite in the world and tells a complex story of extension and exhumation.
