Saman seydi #SamanYasin , the Kurdish rapper from #Kermanshah was arrested by the security forces on October 2nd during protests in #Teheran . He was reportedly subjected to severe physical torture. Saman has been sentenced to death for protesting against regime.

Homosexuality is now punishable by up to 15 years in prison in Iraq. Instead of passing laws that would protect and help Iraqis, parliament is doing the exact opposite. Horrific and unacceptable.

A very interesting finding in UNDP Iraq's new report on corruption prosecutions in the Kurdistan Region: "there were no high-ranking officials compared to the federal level." Instead "accountability for corruption is still largely concentrated at the lower government levels."
