Education has always seemed to be focused on fixing teachers. Teachers don’t need to be fixed but they do need to be supported, encouraged, & appreciated. Maybe we should focus more on developing leaders who can support, encourage, & appreciate teachers. Thank you to those who do

This past week has been 1 of the most demoralizing in my career as a union leader & teacher.

My colleagues have put their lives on the line for public education & there appears to be little recognition of that.

We shouldn’t need to bargain respect, but we will.
