Now proficient with mobile data collection and having carefully practiced the survey tools, our field team heads out to Gandhi Memorial Hospital, Saint Paul's Millennium Medical College, Ras Desta, and the Family Guidance Association of Ethiopia to pilot the AICM study.

On the final day of the AICM training in Addis Ababa, our field team engaged in more mock interviews, refining their skills and ensuring readiness for the field. The day concluded with a group photo, a testament to our hard work, collaboration, and shared vision!!

On the final day of the Prospective Morbidity Survey (PMS) training, our trainees are set to return to their respective facilities across Ethiopia and they are fully prepared to conduct this crucial survey. In keeping with tradition, we captured this milestone with a group photo!

Baobab_RPC is excited to collaborate with the Ugandan government Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development, Office of the Prime Minister - Uganda, UNHCR East, Horn of Africa and Great Lakes, Kiryandongo District Local Government and Windle International Uganda to pilot a school-based intervention to respond to the needs of child survivors of sexual violence.

This PSW model is one to watch - it is promising, with a lot of potential for child protection & we congratulate Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development for having the foresight to establish this cadre. With rigorous PSW training including role plays, we continue to closely monitor & support this intervention

This week Baobab_RPC is in Addis for a ‘grant proposal, scientific writing, and research communication’ training workshop. We are excited to have colleagues from Ethiopia’s Refugee and Returnees Services, Office of the Prime Minister - Uganda, and Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development for cross border learning and exchange.
