Jeannette and I are sad to hear about the passing of our good friend, Ted Wilson. We send condolences to his wife, Holly Mullen, and family. I could always find common ground with Ted. His service to Utah, including during my administration, is an example of what we need today.

I'm saddened to hear of the passing of NBA icon, Jerry West. When I met Mr. West, he expressed incredible love for and raved about the Utah Jazz. He was an NBA Champion, and was a real champion of the sport, and a dear friend to Utah.

I want to congratulate my friend, Lloyd Newell, on his final performance after 34 years of Music and the Spoken Word. The love, wisdom, and faith he has shared over the years will continue inspire me and countless others.
