Derek Gow Almost certainly. I know of a flock with AI suspected (based on clin signs and lesions) and reported to APHA by the vet. Their response was essentially that they didn't care since the birds were already released (even though they were still coming back to pens to eat).

Only rumour at this end but word is the pheasant shoots are being hit hard by AI. Many on Exmoor going down. Stressed creatures at high densities leading miserable lives. Will they be allowed to release what's left ? Quite possibly.
