This amazing surgeon scientist has supported me and my career for nearly 20 years! She is a constant #mentor, #sponsor and #rolemodel for me and so many other young surgeon scientists! I am so excited to be moving this important work forward with her.

For young and mid-career surgeon scientists.. this did not happen overnight - it was over 4 years of applications…. So when they say ‘don’t give up’ it’s for a reason. We felt the science was important so kept working on it… but there were times I was very discouraged.
