Thanks to the Inflation Reduction Act, in 2025 for the first time Medicare enrollees will have a $2000/year cap on out-of-pocket prescription drug costs. This will be life-changing for many people who are paying much more per year to get the prescription drugs they need to live.

Exciting news! CMSGov has officially released the negotiated rates for the 10 costliest drugs in Medicare. We are seeing new prices ranging from 38% to 79% lower than the list price in 2023, providing needed relief for millions of older Americans and people with disabilities.

It was wonderful to attend the 1-year celebration of the Healthy Babies Equity Act this week! Over 12,500 pregnant Marylanders have received health coverage through this program so far. We heard from several moms who shared their stories about what a difference it has made.

La Clínica del Pueblo National Immigration Law Center 1199SEIU💫 and more, celebrated the first anniversary of the implementation of the Healthy Babies Equity Act.

Healthy Baby Equity Act expands Medicaid to cover prenatal and postpartum care to all pregnant people regardless of immigration status. A year later, this law has successfully covered about 12,000 Marylanders, which was recognized at CASA’s Langley Park headquarter.
