Grappling wt Scots law &๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡งEmpire. Lots of cases in Court of Session, 1720-1820 re Scots in N. America, W & E Indies using English law. But noticeable the Court consistently upheld concept of Scot as a legal persona. Implications for nature of Britishness abroad under-appreciated.
