EMIS working. Slowly. However, scripts and labs cleared. May or may not have to go in to the surgery whilst on leave tomorrow. Wes Streeting MP, this is what GP contractors do. Up to you to recognise the value.

Sorry, NHS England, you're seeing tension because we're not doing the stuff you value at.....zero? Thinks yourselves lucky you had 'the discretionary stuff' (paid for with time and health of GPs) for so long. pulsetoday.co.uk/news/politics/…

For all my GP partner colleagues who are BMA members in England….. if you haven’t done so already please vote as per below. We need a very strong turnout to send a message to govt that Gen Practice is broken. Your vote counts. We need investment ++ and a new contract. General Practice

Only 'almost all?' I suppose the cleaners tend not to get grief from the public. Everyone else, the public seem to view as the only free verbal punch-bag they have, given they'd be barred or arrested if they spoke to tesco staff, police, rail staff etc in the same way.

GP registrars and newly-qualified GPs: See below. Choose wisely. Choose continuity of care. Choose stable practice settings and mentorship. Choose traditional General Practice.

English GPs vote YES for collective action. Landslide. We are not worth less than we were in 2019. We cannot keep delivering ever-more with resources that fall every year. General Practice Katie Bramall-Stainer

If anyone had told me years ago that, one day, I would consider praise of something I had worked on coming from an enema, I might have had doubts. And yet, here we are. Much credit to Katie Bramall-Stainer Dr Samira Anane Mark Steggles Samuel Parker, Dr Veno Suri and the wider The BMA team.

Have been turned away previously for: 1) having a runny nose (hay fever) 2) having a finger strapped to it's neighbour (undisplaced fracture, nurse told me 'we can't take blood as your body needs all the goodness') 3) having been to central Asia (non-malarial) the year prior

Going to stop teaching med students venepuncture if it turns out it actually needs to be taught one year after they become doctors.

Anecdata: had FCP via PCN. Provider insisted first appts virtual (and ex-CD agreed, for reasons unclear). In a deprived population. For MSK problems. Chocolate teapot came to mind. No more FCP.

Page one: we aren’t giving up on FPR as a union, a record label, or as a motherfuckin’ crew. Page two: this is NOT a trade union that will allow 2016 to happen again. The question: with 8 months to go until the next pay round, do we stick (with 22%) or do we twist (risk 4%)
