Last night, AWBD-TX hosted its annual Spring Seminar where our General Manager presented HGSD’s all-inclusive approach to preventing further subsidence in the greater Houston area to over 450 professionals dedicated to bettering the operation of Texas’ water districts.

HGSD Board of Directors recently approved the District's participation in a multi-agency collaboration project to determine the feasibility of seawater desalination as a sustainable alternative water supply for our area.

The @TWDB participated in a two-day visit to the Houston area in December. Board members & staff toured the Baytown Nature Center with the Harris Galveston Subsidence District, Houston Public Works's Northeast Water Purification Plant expansion, & learned about the HCFCD’s flood mitigation efforts.
