The NY Stock Exchange was born on May 17, 1792 w/ signing of the Buttonwood Agreement. The agrmt, which laid out trading rules & regs, was signed by 24 stock brokers underneath a buttonwood tree. The entire contract was only 2 sentences in length #MuniHub #munis #muniland
