Aargh! Yet another article wrongly telling family historians that 1834 Poor Law Amendment Act abolished outdoor relief, so going into workhouse was only option. Outdoor relief carried on throughout 19thC. £3.6M given in 1870 alone! AGRA Genealogy #FamilyHistory #Genealogy
