Devastated to see Northern Ballet is to tour without its wonderful orchestra NBSinfonia. These excellent musicians gave their all in my Pinocchio with Gav McCaig, and in all the other ballets they've given such vivid life to. A ghastly bit of news - my heart goes out to you all.

Ian Stephens pays homage to PCYO’s birthday by being set in a 40-note rhythm in the fast section, but in an unusual way: 7/16, 3/8, 7/16, 3/8, 3/8, 4/8 = (40/16). After we worked out all the notes and rhythm, this became our favourite section.
