The funny thing is what they’re asking for is racism, and that is exactly what we get from the political class

attending tonight’s event at HOME felt so uncomfortable. i felt policed having to show my ID to go to the theatre, have my bag checked and queue up in these weird metal bars. made me so anxious. the theatre/ arts world is becoming an uncomfortable space more and more.

We are in deep sadness and anger at the Rwanda Bill passing last night.

To the young people in our networks who are worried, angered, heartbroken and feeling hopeless living with the very real reality of what it means to be a YPoC in the

Sending all my love to people worried, affected, angered, heartbroken, scared, and still processing the passing of the Rwanda Bill tonight.

So much to say, not enough words. So for now.

Rage.
Solidarity.
Resistance.
Abolition.
Liberation.

You know when we say policing agencies & criminal justice systems are tools of white supremacist patriarchy, it’s not some extreme far fetched statement but a truthful reflection of the ideological framework in which the political class is grounded & operates

If an employer went against an occupational health assessment to force you back to work, you would get your union onto them. And that's exactly what unions need to do when it comes to this - the worker, and only the worker, has the right to decide if they're well enough to work

More than 60 children a week are being stripped searched by police in England and Wales

This is not public safety

This is state sanctioned sexual abuse

And it’s happening every day on our door steps

My sister is no organiser or activist, she isn’t the most vocal nor is she one for conflict but watching her this week challenge and question politicians knocking on her door canvassing for the elections about the local policies and party politics has been really wonderful

Isn’t it funny that the Mayor feels compelled by issues that he’s been personally affected by & is celebrated for centering himself in those things in his role - but when we ppl affected by racism, police brutality & an unjust criminal system do the same we are radical

Our client found being in detention so severe that he considered leaving his whole family in the UK & signing up for voluntary removal to a country he has not been to since nursery.

This 'wearing down' of a person is strategically built into our immigration system.
