Let's talk #Breastfeeding! Should mothers living with HIV breastfeed their babies? With funding from PEPFAR through CDC Kenya, we are implementing the Prevention of Mother-To-Child Transmission of HIV by engaging mentor mothers who provide guidance on exclusive breastfeeding.

Exclusive breastfeeding should be done until the child reaches 6 months of age. Mothers living with HIV can as well breastfeed beyond 6 months as long as the mother is virally suppressed and the child is on prophylaxis. #breastfeedingweek #EndHIVEpidemic

Earlier today, our team was part of the delegation that received visitors from CDC & CDC Kenya who paid a visit to Siaya County referral hospital. Part of the agenda was to assess how the Kenya EMR is being utilised at the health facility to support the HIV program.
