Great roundtable in Harrisburg today highlighting Violence Intervention & Prevention grant awardees, ft. Lieutenant Governor Austin Davis, Senator Hughes, Rep. Patty Kim, Dauphin Co. Commissioner Justin Douglas, and local leaders fighting to #EndGunViolence in Dauphin Co.

Today I joined our state and local leaders for a roundtable discussion on gun violence prevention. The Shapiro-Davis budget would invest $100M to address gun violence, including a $37.5M increase for the Violence Intervention and Prevention grant program through Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency.

This week, Senator Hughes joined a roundtable with Lieutenant Governor Austin Davis, Rep. Patty Kim, and other leaders in Harrisburg to discuss the importance of VIP grants that support community efforts to prevent and stop gun violence. He's fighting for more funding for GVI in PA's next budget.

Good news in the June inflation report. Inflation actually DECLINED -0.1% in June. That's the first decrease since the pandemic month of May 2020. -Gas prices declined in June -Electricity prices declined in June -Rent had its smallest monthly increase (0.2%) since August 2021

Congrats to Hamilton Health Center’s new Steelton location. It’s where compassionate healthcare professionals serve our neighbours with dignity and respect.

This 2024-2025 #PAbudget includes no tax increase while making significant investments in K-12 public education, higher education, public safety and Pennsylvania’s economy.

I’m proud of this #PABudget and all of the investments in our communities. The Camp Hill School District and Harrisburg School District need this money immensely. It will also revitalize our streams and waterways.

Tonight, the General Assembly, in a bipartisan manner, passed a state budget that begins to fix decades of underfunding that have left many schools further behind and invests money where it is needed the most.

Today, Secretary Pete Buttigieg, Senator Bob Casey, and I announced a $500 million federal grant to replace I-83 South Bridge over the Susquehanna River — the largest federal transportation grant for a single project in Pennsylvania history. For a year and a half, I've bothered President Biden and

A great day at the Broad Street Market! Rep. David Madsen and I announced a 350K state grant to help with operating expenses and roof repairs. I hope this gives our small biz owners/vendors some hope after the devastating fire.

I’m proud to stand beside Rep. David Madsen to present the Broad Street Market with a $350,000 grant to help assist with repairs after the devastating fire last summer. This grant will be applied directly to building repairs such as HVAC systems, roof and bathroom repairs and painting.

I visited Central Dauphin Middle School during the first week of school to look our kids in the eyes and tell them how much we care about them and their futures.    We worked across the aisle to invest a historic amount in our schools and deliver for students all across PA.

Thanks to Senator Bob Casey and his wonderful staff for hosting a seminar at Latino Hispanic American Community Center (LHACC) to learn more about the prescription discount program/PACE. The other great partners were Rep. David Madsen and Rep. Justin Fleming!
