It's been a good year for Early Purple Orchids on Stinchcombe Hill, in part due to better grassland management. Whitethroats back on territory but only a single Lesser Redpoll on the move

The UK and Scottish governments have taken decisive action to save our seabirds by ending sandeel fishing in Scottish waters & the English North Sea.

We support this vital action and urge the EU to follow our lead, not block it. 🚨

Together, we can save our seabirds.

As one of our most threatened species, it's vital we all do what we can to avoid disturbing Capercaillie.
Please and do not go looking for them this breeding season.
Thanks to Police Scotland and Cairngorms National Park for working to protect these special birds.

🌾 A first in Cumbria, Herdwick sheep fitted with 'Nofence' collars have been grazing at RSPB Geltsdale, creating the perfect habitat for Lapwing, Curlew, and Skylark. Thanks to the Herdies, these birds have found a perfect spot to nest and raise their chicks.
