Unpopular opinion: If a zoonotic virus emerges but its control, or even transparent information on the situation, will interfere with industrys interests, the safety of all of us will be thrown under the bus. Looking at you, wildlife traders, fur farms, meat & dairy industry

Meat industry comms in a nutshell. A comms director for a livestock pharmaceutical company criticizes a scientist for challenging the FAO's citation of his own research by suggesting mis-citation is good science, then uses unattributed scare quotes, then tags the wrong guy.

You know what, The New York Times, you might as well interview me. I’m a nobody, but at least I’m honest and not a miserable, money grubbing, authoritarian grifter like this guy.

I gave up my life to come help Ukraine. This guy gets paid to pimp dictators.

Absolutely disgraceful.

Lula, himself once brought down by a corruption scandal, backing a meat company implicated in widespread bribery of politicians in Brazil and the USA that also happens to be an environmental and climate scourge. Absolute clown show.
