A great article by nilay patel worth reading about why Elon Musk has jumped into a hellscape he can’t engineer his way out of. I don’t believe this will end well for him, or Twitter users. I give it 12 months before he flips it and loses billions.

Best quote I’ve seen yet on what Musk has done in buying Twitter:
“…it looks like Musk dug a big hole in the forest, carefully filled it with punji sticks and crocodiles, and then jumped in.” - Jon Schwarz, Mayor, Arkham MA
For reference, a Punji stick is this horror 😱:

Since Thomas L. Friedman is usually quite prescient about things, I’m inclined to agree that what he’s thinking will unfold. It all makes scary sense: this is an energy war, and most of the world isn’t ready for it. Sadly, we need *more* fossil fuel sources in the short term. Read ⬇️
I had such fun in Thailand attending the #APACCommunitySummit last month! It was wonderful to meet so many AWS builders from our various community programs; people who I might not otherwise see anywhere else. Awesome video! 🥰

It’s pretty incredible that YouTube Music YouTube is increasing the price of the #YouTubePremium family plan by 53% in one shot! 😲 There’s nothing new being added here in terms of value; it’s the same as before, just at a much higher monthly rate. Yikes! 🫤
After starting to watch #TheMandalorian for the second viewing, this time with my kids, I am reminded how badly I want to end every statement in my work meetings with “I have spoken” just to see how people would react.
😆
When I bought my #MacBookPro earlier this year, I was dubious I'd see any benefit in using Magsafe. As expected, I never use it. Carrying a special cable for charging one device doesn't offer me a benefit. What about you?
