Every decision Boris Johnson makes serves his own short term gratification. The lies, betrayals, deaths, moral degradation & denigration of public decency this spawns bother him not one jot. But I’m *still* surprised by how many other people are similarly blasé about the carnage.

Eddie Mair rips Boris apart with questions about lying and integrity. Johnson turned up for interview not realising Andrew Marr was sick with Mair standing in. Mair, a working class boy from Dundee had no time for Johnson’s pomp, arrogance and entitlement.

If only there was some sort of electoral mechanism that could allow the electorate to have a say in who we elect to govern us.

The idea of #BorisJohnson returning to No.10 is a real measure of how insane and undemocratic our political system has become.

Not much of a silver lining, given the size of the cloud, but at least we now know that any producer or presenter using guests from IEA is either deliberately promoting their ridiculous, utterly discredited agenda or treating their audience with complete contempt. Or both.
