Why do we even need pesticides?

Globally, farmers lose 30 to 40 percent of their crops because of pests and diseases.

Crop protection help farmers produce more food on less land to help meet rising demand from growing population.

Regulatory authorities analyse the results carefully before determining if approval will be granted.

Every 10 years a re-approval is required that takes into account new results.

It takes 12-14 years to research and develop a new pesticide due to the extensive safety studies that are performed.

↓ 92% reduction of Fungicides.
↓ 97% reduction of Insecticides.
↓ 98% reduction of Herbicides.

Innovation has reduced pesticide use.

This means the amount of active ingredient used by a farmer today is on average 95% lower than the rate used in the 1950s.
