I will never understand the thing that makes someone in Doorley’s position not just stop and eat the speeding ticket. What exactly has she been getting away with (and for how long) that would lead to such an astonishing amount of entitlement?

But her 10+ year career as DA is filled with miscarriages of justice and abuses of power.

Any of my clients would have been arrested for eluding and this DA would have showed up the next morning and argued that they should be held without bond.

A district attorney in New York refused to pull over for a cop and then drove straight home.

The level of entitlement is through the roof.

This police officer was just doing his job - very professionally. DA Doorley’s conduct was unethical and illegal. She needs to be removed from office.

If the average person fled the cops, threatened them, you would not say they owe the police an apology.

Why is it that the people who are quick to incarcerate us tend to think that the law doesn’t apply to themselves?

Respectfully, she wasn’t just trying to handle it later. She tried to use her job title to get out of the ticket while fleeing the cop. Anyone else would have been arrested on the spot. But as she said, she’s the DA, so who would prosecute her??

Ok, the real story is much worse. DA Doorley, an active supporter of preserving mass incarceration, was apparently drunk on power (or worse), got belligerent with cops & tried to use her job title to escape punishment—all on tape, hence the fake apology. wxxinews.org/local-news/202…
