The race was very reminiscent of last year's Diamond League final in Eugene, where Nuguse latched onto Ingebrigtsen and did not give an inch. This time, he moved onto Ingebrigtsen's shoulder on the final turn and passed with 50m to go.

Just like he did after a victory against Cole Hocker in Lausanne, Jakob Ingebrigtsen throws his arm around Yared Nuguse after a defeat in Zurich.

Before this season, only three men had ever broken 19.60 in the 200m more than once: Usain Bolt, Yohan Blake, and Noah Lyles. Tebogo added his name to the list at the Olympics (and went sub-19.60 again tonight), and now Kenny Bednarek is in the club as well.
