I’m very excited to have been elected to the #UKYoungAcademy, and can’t wait to meet my new colleagues next week and start trying to tackle societal issues UoBChemistry
Great way to end the week! Our paper on the synthesis and reactivity of the [NCCCO]- anion has been published in Angewandte Chemie onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/abs/10.100… Thanks to Doug Stephan Laura English, Maotong Xu and other co-workers on this fun project! UoBChemistry
I’ve had such a great time over the last two days being inducted into this amazing community and meeting all the new and current members UK Young Academy
Girls, girls, girls 💫 Giving a whole new meaning to Dalton young members at the Main Group AGM Caroline Knapp Thanks to the committee for organising a great meeting and making it mini-chemist friendly!
Great job Emma! UoBChemistry
Any potential applicants interested in small-molecule activation and sustainable catalysis then please feel free to get in touch! UoBChemistry
Great to see this out! A really fun collaboration with Paul Davies, and excellent work from Laura English who helped to understand the key interactions between the gold and sulfur that directed the regiochemistry in the Au catalytic cycle! UoBChemistry
Congratulations to Dr Andrew Jupp who has been awarded the 2024 Sir Edward Frankland Prize by the Royal Society of Chemistry: birmingham.ac.uk/news/2024/cata… Jupp Lab Royal Society of Chemistry UoBChemistry
I'm delighted to be awarded the 2024 Sir Edward Frankland Prize - thank you to all the members of the research group, colleagues, and collaborators that made this possible! #RSCPrizes UoBChemistry
PhD advert 📢 We have some last minute PhD funding available to start in October 2024 to work in main group chemistry and catalysis. Please share with anyone who might be interested and contact me directly (unfortunately UK funding only) UoBChemistry
Congratulations to my first PhD student Emma Jordan for all her hard work on this paper - this was the first project we started at UoBChemistry and it is great to see it out!
We are sponsoring the 2024 Midlands Inorganic Discussions meeting❗ This event includes a talk from RSC Sir Edward Frankland Prize 2024 winner, Jupp Lab, and lots of networking opportunities! Don't miss out👀 📍Nottingham Trent University 📆12 Sept 2024 Register here: forms.office.com/e/zhbWqaWiZv
