A fascinating #EASD2024 talk by Sarah Richardson on her #research funded by the #Type1DiabetesGrandChallenge 👏 The #T1D Grand Challenge is a £50m partnerships between JDRF UK, Diabetes UK Research and @stevemorganfdn and part of this is funding work to understand the root causes of T1D.

Last day of #EASD2024 and we’re starting with the latest results from Vertex Pharmaceuticals’s VX-880 clinical trial giving people with #Type1Diabetes lab-grown insulin-making islets alongside immune suppressing drugs to keep them safe from the immune attack that causes #T1D.
