Samantha Elka Noyek and Dr. Katie Birnie led a systematic review of self and observer assessment of pain and related functioning in youth with brain-based developmental disabilities that was featured in PAIN Journal

This project was career changing for me and formed the foundation of my #PartneringForPain research program. It changed how I do research in partnership with youth and families, and the impact and value that work can have. I am eternally grateful to all involved!

1/ Building on a 2018 prioritisation process by the Partnering For Pain team, Dr. Katie Birnie has led a variety of activities to ensure the Top 10 priorities have an impact in public policy, healthcare and research.
