BREAKING: Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz will be the Democratic VP candidate, alongside Kamala Harris. Walz forged a reputation as a Governor who makes good policy happen. Last year he signed a law guaranteeing free breakfast and lunch for all Minnesota students. And that's not all 🧵

Some of the policies Walz signed into law in Minnesota: -Universal school meals -Stronger labor protections -Cannabis legalization -Stronger LGBTQ+ protections -paid leave/sick -100% clean energy by 2030 -repro rights -$1B for housing -gun safety -cut child poverty 1/3

Everyone likes to post good news with sour caveats to prove we aren't idiots, I am just going to say this clip in context of today is pure political joy and I do not care if I seem stupid for posting good vibes sometimes

Walz not only sobered up and turned his life around but then became Governor and signed the Minnesota Clean Slate Act to enable 500,000+ people to seal their past arrest records, giving them a second chance too.

Pretty sure insulting/dismissing voters - even if they’re annoying you, disrupting you, protesting you - in a key swing state isn’t the best way to win that state. Assuming that they *have* to vote for you, otherwise Trump will win, doesn’t work. Just ask Hillary Clinton 🤷🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️

Horrible. All she had to do was say "I hear you. When I'm president we'll have a permanent ceasefire. We're gonna stop the war and bring peace" At least HALF of democrats think Israel is committing a genocide! Act like it!

every dollar spent on making this bomb that killed women and children in gaza couldve been spent on american schools, healthcare and infrastructure. why do we do this? who in america actually wants this?

re "leftists are gonna cost Harris the election": If a politician recognizes that a voting bloc is significant enough to potentially cost them an election, and fully ignores their demands and then loses, that's kinda on that politician, no? That person is just bad at their job

It’s honestly gross watching Dems speak about Gaza like a hurricane hit. It’s not an unfortunate tragedy. It’s not heartbreaking. It’s something you have full control over and are actively choosing to do.

A new report documents Israel’s torture of Palestinian healthcare workers from #Gaza. The cases all follow a pattern, as Andrew Stroehlein explains in today's Daily Brief: trib.al/7f7XS8a

It took me SEVEN years to figure out that you can save a ggplot as a vectorized .svg file ggsave("file.svg"). The svg file can be opened on powerpoint and it will be completely vectorized, even text are still recognized as text boxes! No more recreating plots on illustrator!!!!!

just a reminder that wanting common sense gun reform is not extremism or fringe. the majority of Americans want it. If you don’t agree then I’d like to suggest that YOU are the extremist.
