However, even with the addition of two side windows in 1842, the light levels were never high enough for plants to survive inside.

Did you know your morning brew comes from the leaves of the tea plant, Camellia sinensis and the flavour of the tea is brought out once the leaves of the plant have been dried.

Dandelions (Taraxacum officinale) are incredibly useful plants.

They are rich in vitamins A and K, and their roots can be roasted and ground as a coffee substitute! They are also an essential food source for a number of insects. 🐝
