The Good Prison Officer team sends a special thank you to Michael for his review of our work in the Probation Journal. A small good news story of prisoners & ex-prisoners working together to make prisons that little bit better! 👇🏼 journals.sagepub.com/doi/abs/10.117…

Amazing work Scotland!

Children don't belong in prison! Children need care nurture and protection.

A better understanding of the hierarchy of child brain development can provide a different perspective on our most troubled young people. How their brain can influence behaviour. What is behind the behaviour & ensuring the young persons needs are understood and met.🧠🌱

Are we missing the point?

It's not about the amount of people trying to work with young people. It's their ability to sit with trauma & understand their path.

They're looking for connection & belonging, If we don't provide it, they'll go where they're accepted.

I've been accepted to start a PhD at Bedfordshire University!

I got kicked out of school age 8, age 12 I was living in care at my 5th school. Within a year I was on remand for the first time.

There is always hope. Look for those shining the light they know the way! 💜🫶🏼💫
