KMS and WYEDC brought Bonner Springs High School students to Herff Jones to see how their yearbooks are made. HJ makes millions of yearbooks annually in KCK. HJ is hiring for positions and internships! With their great culture, this is an awesome place to work!

Bonner Springs students visited KCK Community College and their Federation for Advanced Manufacturing Education (FAME) lab. Those enrolled into the FAME Program will start a work/study program to earn an associate degree and certification as an Advanced Manufacturing Technician!

Manufacturing Month continues as KMS and WYEDC hosted Bonner Springs High School at Display Studios. DS showed students how they design, manufacture, and install amazing, customized exhibits and tradeshow products.

Celebrating MFG Month, Schlagle High students toured Baader Food Processing Systems. They saw a manufacturing operation in action and learned there are well paying jobs available in mfg! Wyandotte Economic Development Council, our partner, has pulled together some great tours!

Thank you BHC and Kansas City Kansas Community College for hosting students from Schlagel High School! BHC shared amazing career opportunities in surveying, along with some cool tools of the trade! KCKCC provided lunch and a tour of the FAME Lab. The students learned a ton!

The #KansasManufacturingSummit kicked off with opening remarks from Alan Cobb (KS Chamber), Brandie McPherson (Kansas Manufacturing Council), KMC Board Chair Mark Chalfant, and Danica Rome (@kms_kansas).
