30 Democrats signed an open letter to Biden, asking him to use diplomacy with Putin. I understand the intention, I don't understand the execution. These 30 people should to get into a room with Putin and come up with a solution that would protect #Ukraine 's sovereignty. Can they?

These democrats want 'a new European security arrangement acceptable to all parties that will allow for a sovereign and independent Ukraine'. This is the problem. RUSSIA DOES NOT ACCEPT A SOVEREIGN UKRAINE. How many times does this have to be reiterated?

Russia operates on a completely different set of assumptions about the world and this war. They want Ukraine crushed, not independent. They have never accepted our independence, and they won't start now. Our subjugation is their fundamental goal. Diplomacy will not change that

This isn't a radical thought coming from an emotional Ukrainian. It's the truth. The faster people open their eyes and see it, the faster this war will end. The only way to protect world peace, Ukraine's sovereignty, AND AMERICAN INTERESTS, is helping Ukraine win. It's simple.

I just wonder if a single signee here actually has a proposal. An actual scenario for what these 'vigorous diplomatic efforts' will look like. A real offer that will make Putin withdraw from all Ukrainian territory. Because maybe we're all missing something here, enlighten us
