So much for Purcell. SCOTUS upends the status quo and disrupts voter registration processes that have been in place since 2018, allowing a state statute to go into effect after a district court judge found it violated the constitution and federal law.

My theory on the "surprise guest" is that the Harris-Walz team looked at what Taylor bas been doing with Rep (TV)-teasing it, generating frantic buzz & 🤡-ing, then not releasing it, which only generates more buzz. In which case, respect! & on the eve of Rep's original release.

The Supreme Court is allowing the Eighth Circuit to issue a nationwide injunction blocking all SAVE Plan student loan relief, including reduced payment amounts, during litigation over the SAVE Plan — despite conflicting appeals court rulings on the plan.

Thank you to Solicitor General Elizabeth Prelogar for visiting Michigan Law today! In her discussion with Professor Leah Litman, she shared insights (and some funny stories) from her time in law school, clerking at SCOTUS, and her current role as SG.
