If Governor Kathy Hochul is truly concerned about affordability, she will ensure that NY Power Authority fills the gaps where the private sector is failing. Not meeting the mandates of our climate law is a choice, not an inevitability.

In the week New Yorkers have faced lethal floods and rising energy bills, Governor Kathy Hochul seems to be downplaying the climate goals. Send a letter demanding she thinks big to solve the climate crisis and lower bills by building 15 GW of public renewables: actionnetwork.org/letters/govern…

People detained pretrial still have the right to vote. New York should help them exercise this right by providing voter registration forms and absentee ballots in jails. My bill will do just that. These are people who are accused, not convicted. See it: cityandstateny.com/opinion/2024/0…

Today Governor Kathy Hochul & NYSERDA host Future Energy Summit to prop up nuclear & other false solutions. No climate justice orgs will be speaking. We cannot get distracted when we have proven solutions, like unleashing NY Power Authority where the private sector is failing.
