Some of the loneliest people in the world right now: those heroic Palestinians and Israelis who care and grieve about the kids on both sides as if they were their own, and who keep trying to build bridges as others do their best to blow them up. A big hug, wherever you are.

My heroes right now are all those Palestinians and Israelis standing up to their own extremists. This takes guts, but there is no other way. And calling them 'traitors' or worse, specially if you are not in their shoes, is despicable.

We again unequivocally condem Hamas' terrorist onslaught AND call on the Biden Administration to address the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, pushing all parties to adhere to international law. The 24-hour evacuation for 1.1 million civilians in Gaza will lead to further catastrophe.

No. A million people in northern Gaza are not guilty. They have no where else to go. This is not what fighting Hamas looks like. This is revenge. And innocent people are being hurt.

As a Jewish person, I wish I could spend this week grieving and mourning. But the Israeli government is weaponizing our grief to enact a second Nakba, killing thousands and displacing millions. I can make time to grieve while also working to stop ethnic cleansing.

It takes so much strength, compassion, and humanity to say no to vengeance while mourning. Noi, I also lost my brother in the 1st Intifada, but we are NOT enemies. We are brothers in pain and in our struggle to end the cycle of bloodshed. With you in solidarity!

This is one of the most thoughtful, nuanced analyses of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict I've seen to date.

As with any analysis, there are details left out on both sides but as a whole, it is broad, humane, and captures the inevitability of the conflict.

So we flatten Gaza, and then what?
So we have already killed 800 Palestinians in Gaza, many of them children, and now what?
So we will invade Gaza, hundreds of our soldiers will die, and then what?
So we had already countless cycles of war, what did it bring us?
