I witnessed this morning the signing of the Performance Agreements between China Construction and Communications Company (CCCC) and the three Ugandan coffee companies, i.e., Platinum Commodities, New Cafe, and Mwanyi Terimba, to buy Ugandan coffee beans for value addition 1/2.

I joined the Ministerial High level roundtable meeting at the Africa Food Systems (AFS) Forum Summit 2024 yesterday in Kigali, Rwanda. I briefed the Ministerial meeting on what Uganda is doing in the Agriculture sector to support the citizens

The door is now open for Uganda to export both wild aquatic fishes and dried chili to China, as today we witnessed the exchange of two protocals in Beijing. We encourage Ugandan business community to actively participate in the process to elevate our trade ties.

We have signed two critical trade protocols with govt of China. One on export of dry chilies & the other is on wild aquatic products. More protocols on Ovaccado & beef are under negotiation.H.E Vice President Jessica Alupo witnessed the exchange of protocols. Great Milestone. #FOCAC2024
