I don't usually wish disability and pain on anyone. I wish it for Rishi Sunak. All the disabilities. All the chronic pain. Forever.

Rishi Sunak complains about a Welfare budget of Β£69bn that goes to actually disabled people who need it to live

He ignores Β£150bn of Tax avoidance committed by a fraction of the 1%, who could pay it all and still be billionaires

Because that Β£150bn goes to his mates, and to HIM

Going to be very curt here but I make no apologies…

If you are not disabled or the carer of a disabled person, and if you don’t have direct experience of the benefits process…

Shut the fuck up.

Today's news feels like an assault on disabled people.

We are in a cost-of-living crisis. Government looking to slash disabled people’s income by hitting personal independence payment (PIP) is a horrific proposal.

It's dangerous and risks leaving disabled people destitute.…

There's that awful tiktok going around today...

Ask not if you would date a disabled person, but would a disabled person date you.

And for the scum in the video? No we wouldn't.

I always think of this piece I wrote for The Guardian a couple of years ago when there's a big story that SHOCKS non-disabled people at the way we're treated.

Disabled people don’t need your outrage – we need you to fight with us for change

'It is very important that we're not just building things that technically work on assistive technology but also building good, equitable experiences for those who use it.'

'X' says I've been on here for 14 years today. Except most of the time I've been here it has been Twitter. It is my Twitter anniversary.

I always knew Jay Rayner was a good'un.

Even if you don't need disabled access, ask the questions:
- do they have step-free access?
- is there an accessible toilet?
- do they have accessible menus?
- is there enough space between tables for a wheelchair?

If anyone was wondering I'm a Mari-un. Not on. Not anne.

Spending the time to learn how people's names are pronounced is important.

The DDA will be 30 years old next year.
The Equality Act will be 15 years old next year.

I am astonished at the amount of people who still think we should be grateful for the absolute bare minimum of access that has come since then.

Make it accessible or don’t make it 🀬

Being able to access information around your own healthcare in an appropriate format is a human right. There is so much work to be done to address the healthcare inequalities disabled people experience.
