WATCH: The sequence leading to the shooting of K24 journalist Wanjeri Kariuki in Nakuru today. The shot seems to have been fired from inside a moving police car, directly into a group of journalists who were clearly identifiable as members of the press.

We urge Kenya's law enforcement agencies to allow journalists to do their jobs, free from violence, harassment, or interference, and to uphold the right to #freedomofexpression enshrined in Kenya's Constitution.

I’ve seen Dennis Ombachi’s recent claims that there is state sponsored censorship on Meta’s platforms (Facebook and Instagram) While it's hard to obtain evidence about his claims, it’s high time we scrutinized FB's relationship with the State under William Ruto. A Thread 🧵

The field, one of my favorite area of work in touch with the real story all the time, any time. This is why we go there to report.

Absolutely heartbreaking to watch Hind Khoudary report on the killing of her colleagues Ismail al-Ghoul and Rami al-Rifi in an Israeli strike. Solidarity with her, their families and everybody at Al Jazeera.
